UNSW describes its interviews as "structured and cover a wide range of relevant topics", conducted by "two interviewers who are either academic staff, medical practitioners or community representatives" — a single conversation rather than an MMI circuit. All domestic interviews are face to face: General and Gateway applicants at the Kensington campus, Rural Entry applicants at the Rural Clinical Campus nearest their home address (Wagga Wagga, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour or Albury). Rural Entry goes first, in late November.
